Simulation
Discrete event simulation boomed from the early 1970´s when the personal computer was invented. It’s an optimization tool that attempts to model real-life in a computer. Once this is accomplished, the user can test what-if scenarios without disturbing the actual system in real life. This tool is particularly useful in problems in which real life testing is very expensive or even dangerous –for example maritime ports or hospitals, respectively.
Inside our Simulation toolbox, we can find for example:
- Capacity assessment
- Operational design
- Optimization of processes
- Traffic systems
- Among others
